North Wales.
It was a gloriously cold, grey Welsh afternoon... and then the skies magically opened up when the Great Man took to the rocky coast for his first day of shooting. This is the beginning of our latest great adventure: The Michael Burn MC Documentary.
Micky is by far one of the greatest men I have met. Decorated war hero, poet, author, Ex- P.O.W., Bisexual (in a time when it was illegal), and Raconteur. He hung out with Hitler one day... and then fought against him and the Nazi's in one of the greatest raids of all time. After winning the Military Cross for his bravery during the Raid on St. Nazaire, he was captured and spent three years in Nazi captivity inside the notorious Colditz Castle.
Now, at 96, he still has the energy and sense of humor rivaling most people 1/4 his age. We spent a week with him at his home in Porthmadog, Wales hearing tales from ages ago that, until now, I could only have imagined happened in an Indiana Jones movie.
When he found out I lived in New York City he said with a smile "I haven't been to New York since 1939. Has it changed much?" He then told me tales of riding in a first-class cabin on the Queen Mary to New York whilst wearing a fur coat and black bowler hat. THE QUEEN MARY!!! A BOWLER HAT!!! I love this guy!
Fortunately for me, I am directing this Great Man's documentary. Richard Luckett and James Dorrian are my partners in this amazing adventure. You can check out more about him and the project here: MichaelBurnMC

The spelling and grammar on display here are obviously not that of a college graduate - or at least "college" in the literal sense. This poltroon obviously must have gone to Film School - where screening all of Fassbinder's films is required to graduate - but knowing how to conjugate a verb evidently is not.
