THE GREAT NORTH WALES ADVENTURE
North Wales.
It was a gloriously cold, grey Welsh afternoon... and then the skies magically opened up when the Great Man took to the rocky coast for his first day of shooting. This is the beginning of our latest great adventure: The Michael Burn MC Documentary.
Micky is by far one of the greatest men I have met. Decorated war hero, poet, author, Ex- P.O.W., Bisexual (in a time when it was illegal), and Raconteur. He hung out with Hitler one day... and then fought against him and the Nazi's in one of the greatest raids of all time. After winning the Military Cross for his bravery during the Raid on St. Nazaire, he was captured and spent three years in Nazi captivity inside the notorious Colditz Castle.
Now, at 96, he still has the energy and sense of humor rivaling most people 1/4 his age. We spent a week with him at his home in Porthmadog, Wales hearing tales from ages ago that, until now, I could only have imagined happened in an Indiana Jones movie.
When he found out I lived in New York City he said with a smile "I haven't been to New York since 1939. Has it changed much?" He then told me tales of riding in a first-class cabin on the Queen Mary to New York whilst wearing a fur coat and black bowler hat. THE QUEEN MARY!!! A BOWLER HAT!!! I love this guy!
Fortunately for me, I am directing this Great Man's documentary. Richard Luckett and James Dorrian are my partners in this amazing adventure. You can check out more about him and the project here: MichaelBurnMC

Motörhead's "Rock Out" Video
Check out my latest and greatest rock & roll video. I co-directed with Wes Orshoski, and I was also the cinematographer and editor. We had a glorious time shooting this on tour in Philly, NYC, Asbury Park and a bit w Lem at the Rainbow in Hollywood.
Catching up...

Now that I dusted off the old blog, its time to catch up and get current. Since my last posting I:
Got married. Honeymooned on horseback. Moved to a better apartment. Made a bunch of music videos. Directed Burning Spear's bio documentary. Stopped directing Burning Spear's doc because of reasons I should only tell you in private... over several beers. Got in a glorious fist fight in Brixton/London. Wanted to start my own fight club. Decided not to start my own fight club because I'm too pretty. Made some more music videos. Found out I really love kale. Met Lemmy and started work on Lemmy: The Movie w my buddy Wes. Went to Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, England, Scottland, Austin and a few other places with Motörhead. Dislocated my toe and missed two flights while partying with Joan Jett's Blackhearts. Made glorious TV Shows w skater Mike V. Made more glorious TV shows for Fuel TV. Made a Motörhead music video. Met Richard Luckett in an airport in England and got sucked into a whirlwind of amazing new projects including the Micky Burn documentary.
So.
Here i am, current on my blog, and packing to go to Wales to hang out with a 96 year old war hero, poet, raconteur; Micky Burn... and the always unpredictable Richard Luckett.
